Privacy Notice

Here is what becomes of the name, number and message you type into our call-out form. South Africa's privacy law, POPIA, sets the rules this notice follows. "We" means The Midrand Plumbers, the plumbing service that answers requests sent from this site.

What the form collects

• Your name and phone number, which the form needs before it will send.
• Your email address, only if you choose to give it.
• The service you pick, your suburb, and anything you write about the problem.

Why we need it

To phone you back about the problem you described, agree a fee and a time, and price the work. Your details are not added to a mailing list, not used for advertising and not sold or passed to anyone for their own use.

The basis for using it

You send the details to ask for a service, so we use them to take the steps you asked for. If you would rather we did not keep them after answering your request, tell us and they will be deleted.

Who handles it on the way

The form passes through the company that hosts this website (Cloudflare) and an email delivery service (Resend), which together carry it to the person who handles call-outs. They process it only to deliver it.

How long it is kept

Until your request, and any job that came out of it, is finished, and after that only as long as the law requires invoice records to be kept. Then it is deleted.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes, this notice will be updated before it does.

Your rights

You can find out which of your details we have, have them fixed if they are wrong, have them erased, or object to the way they are used. To do any of these, send the call-out form with "Privacy request" in the message. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
